Earlier this week, Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Shia LaBeouf released a new short film that he directed entitled HowardCantour.com. Almost immediately after the debut of this project, it became very clear that this short was based on a Daniel Clowes comic entitled Justin M. Damiano, but Clowes was not credited in the short. Neil Gaiman's popular comic book series The Sandman has been the subject of discussion for years in terms of film and television adaptation. One of the biggest YouTube hits of all time has to be Leonard Nimoy's song from the 1960's that was inspired by the J.R.R. Tolkien book, The Hobbit. Considering the latest film on this subject came out this week, the cast of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug embraced Nimoy's song, "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins," and performed a dramatic reading of the lyrics while promoting the new film.
