Blue is the Warmest Color is arguably the most controversial film of 2013, but it has still garnered plenty of critical acclaim since its release. Stars Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos have stated that director Abdellatif Kechiche created an uncomfortable working environment and that they'd never work with him again, but the film took over Cannes this year thanks to the actresses and the filmmaker. Although the film won't be nominated for an Oscar thanks to its graphic NC-17 nature, Adele Exarchopoulos is still able to be nominated for Best Actress. Captain America: The Winter Soldier aka Captain America 2 hits theaters on April 4, 2014 and will pit Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) against his old World War II partner Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who was presumed dead but survives into the present day and becomes the Winter Soldier. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continues to promote itself through The Daily Bugle Tumblr page, the official viral marketing site for the Spidey sequel. In late November, the site posted a faux article about a bank robbery by someone that fit the description of the villain Shocker. The 2014 Palm Springs Film Festival runs from January 3 to 13, and this year one of the festival's most prestigious awards is going to Irish rock group U2. For there new song featured on the Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom soundtrack, "Ordinary Love," the group will be awarded the Sonny Bono Visionary Award. Named after the singer-turned-politician that started this festival, this award is usually given to filmmakers, but "Ordinary Love" is already on a nomination streak (Golden Globe, Critics' Choice and maybe an Oscar) so this award pretty much makes sense.
