R. Kelly, Kelly Rowland - All The Way

By alex-galbraith-mstars-reporter | Dec 02, 2013 04:09 PM EST

Kelly Rowland and R. Kelly have come together to create a song that's so sexy, the entire Earth just got a little bit wetter (#globalwarming, #sorrypolarbears). The Black Panties track "All The Way" pairs the god-king of modern babymakin' music with the upstart Rowland, who has made quite a name for herself in the boudoir jam arena with tracks like "Motivation", "Ice" and "Representin'." The result is a steamy collab worthy of inclusion on an R. Kelly album named after ladies' undergarments. Read More »

Yeezus is SPIN's Album of the Year

By alex-galbraith-mstars-reporter | Dec 02, 2013 03:10 PM EST

Is anyone surprised? Kanye West's general public-derided, critically adored album Yeezus came out on top of SPIN's 50 Greatest Albums of 2013. The dense, challenging work is the exact sort of thing that gets the average critic all hot n' bothered, so many expected Yeezy's aggro-industrial statement of production and sentiment over lyricism and hooks to come out on top, and SPIN was happy to oblige. Paul Walker Dead: RZA of Wu-Tang Clan pens heartfelt tribute song for 'Fast & Furious' star

By alex-galbraith-mstars-reporter | Dec 02, 2013 01:58 PM EST

Well, this was unexpected. Even with the Internet-wide outpouring of grief over the death of The Fast & The Furious star Paul Walker, I'm surprised by this tribute from the Wu-Tang Clan's RZA. The de facto Clan leader dropped a demo of a song called "Destiny Bends" as a tribute to the actor, whom he met on the set of the upcoming film Brick Mansions. Read More »

Those uber-controversial Russian anti-gay propaganda laws are back in the headlines again. The same statutes that led to members of Pussy Riot being jailed may put an end to Elton John's plan to perform in Moscow later this week. Read More »

Lostprophets Members Release Statement

By alex-galbraith-mstars-reporter | Dec 01, 2013 10:14 AM EST

In case you are unaware, Lostprophets' lead singer Ian Watkins has plead guilty to some of the most deplorable crimes imaginable. The rest of the band hasn't said much in the last few weeks, but they have maintained that they knew nothing of Watkins sexual abuse of children as young as 11 months. I'm inclined to believe them because they are human beings and I doubt they would associate with Watkins if they knew. The bandmates have finally made their position very clear with a statement. By alex-galbraith-mstars-reporter | Nov 29, 2013 02:47 PM EST

This excellent Ken Burns-ian spoof of Rob Ford (aka "the crackhead mayor of Toronto") is great even if you have no idea who the famed documentarian is (though you should really get on that). Read More »
