Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore's are divorcing. The pair are reportedly splitting after six years of marriage, with the former "Candy" pop star and beloved indie/country musician reportedly going their separate ways respectfully and amicably. Adams - whose most recent self-titled album was a melancholy affair - and Red Band Society actress Moore had been dating since 2008, but now Moore has filed for divorce from the Heartbreaker rocker, citing "irreconcilable differences". John Oliver embodies male beauty? The British comedian and star of HBO's Last Week Tonight - which returns for it second season on Sunday Feb. 8 at 11 p.m. - released a web exclusive last night (this week) detailing his attempts to audition for the 50 Shades of Grey movie, and slamming actor Jamie Dornan. The idea? To apologize to Dornan - who stars as EL James's Christian Grey in the upcoming 2015 movie - for starting the 'Not My Christian' hashtag. Shaquille O'Neal: TV comedy superstar? The retired NBA legend and NBA on TNT panelist has announced a that he will be moving into the Veep-like scripted workplace comedy arena with Tru TV, having already er, 'conquered' basketball, movies, hip-hop, video games, web series, reality TV and the law. The former NBA All-Star center -- who's 7' 2" and (roughly) a kajillion pounds -- will helm the TV show loosely based around and inspired by his business empire, which already includes Soda Shaq, a jewelry line, 24-Hour Fitness clubs, Five Guys pizza chains and more, and his staff. At least, that's what the voting public for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game believe, with Golden State point guard Curry scoring more votes than Cleveland Cavaliers savior and four-time NBA MVP James. The NBA have announced the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star Game starters, including starry NBA names such as Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin. Blake Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert is "really worried" about The Voice judge hosting 'SNL' this week, the 'Bringing Back the Sunshine' star has revealed. "Neon Lights" singer Shelton also slammed Jimmy Fallon for his impersonation of "Boys Round Here" before telling the new 'Tonight Show' host that he doesn't know who Benedict Cumberbatch is. Hines Ward has called the New England Patriots cheaters, and blamed coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. 'The Dancing With The Stars' winner and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver also told The Today Show's Matt Lauer that he wants very harsh punishment to be leveled at the franchise as they gear up for the 2015 Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 1, and said that if the Patriots win Super Bowl 49, it will be tainted forever, he told Late Night With Seth Meyers. Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night, and the team report that he will fly back to LA to be examined by team doctors, missing the team's game against reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs this Friday. It raises the question of, after three straight seasons of major injuries whether or not, the 36 year old superstar will retire, or play out the last remaining year on his mammoth contract. If he undergoes surgery, it could mean a six month long recovery, if it's a similar injury to the torn rotator cuff suffered by the Spurs Patty Mills. Read More »
Will Ferrell nailed a cheerleader in the face with a basketball during halftime of Wednesday's New Orleans Pelicans game against the Los Angeles Lakers, and had to be carried out of the arena by security guards. After stumbling around and dedicating the shot to "Dylan and Megan and Sarah and Dylan" — and calling out his wife 'Sarah' for cheating on him with 'Scott' — Ferrel lined up for a half court shot... but the obviously drunk star of Anchorman and Talladega Nights instead threw the ball directly into the unsuspecting face of an onlooking cheerleader. The NFL's 'DeflateGate' has an update. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has said that he had no knowledge of the 11 of 12 game balls being under-inflated until he was told about it on Monday, adding that he was "shocked" by the news. He then left it to quarterback Tom Brady to explain his preferences, and that he has "no explanation for what happened." Baltimore Ravens player Chris Canty has said that DeflateGate is the same as using PEDs and is against the integrity of the game. Either way, Aahead of the Super Bowl against Seattle Seahawks, it still appears that the NFL will have a hard time proving the Patriots did anything illegal. Read More »
