Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters on December 20, but that doesn't mean the promotion for the highly anticipated film has slowed in any way. In fact, star Will Ferrell has been dressing up as the lead character, Ron Burgundy, for a number of commercials for seemingly unrelated products. According to a new interview with director Tim Miller, the Ryan Reynolds-starring Deadpool movie project is very much still going on. In fact, Miller revealed that a new script has been delivered by screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland, G.I. Joe Retaliation). A boxing movie entitled Southpaw and starring Eminem as a left-handed boxer has been in the works for about 3 or 4 years now. The project has moved from studio to studio and lost the rapper as the lead actor, though director Antoine Fuqua ensures that Eminem is till heavily involved. Earlier this week, longtime voice actress on The Simpsons, Marcia Wallace, passed away at the age of 70. The talented actress was responsible for making her character, Mrs. Krabapple, an iconic figure in all of television. She had a distinctive laugh and an attitude so perfectly expressed through her voice that Wallace's talent couldn't have been missed. NBC has decided to move a new Tina Fey-written show straight to series, starring The Office alumnus Ellie Kemper in the lead. According to a press release from the network, Kemper will star as a young woman who "escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York City." Read More »
Earlier this week, Activision released a special trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts and its new multiplayer co-op mode entitled "Extinction." This trailer introduced us to the new concept of alien invasion battle as opposed to the previous multiplayer mode in the franchise that was based around zombies. This is a step away from the whole zombie craze in video games, so we'll have to see how this affects gaming in the long run.
