In conjunction with FOX's hit musical show "Glee," Oxygen network held a reality competition series entitled "The Glee Project" for two seasons but has recently cancelled the show. This reality show featured performers hoping to win a guest spot on the hit show "Glee" and was set up to coincide with the airing of the singing show. Unfortunately, a third season of "The Glee Project" would not match up with the next season of the popular show, so Oxygen has discontinued it. Executives has insisted that this cancelation has nothing to do with the recent and untimely death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, who also appeared on the Oxygen show as a mentor. Read More »
Zayn Malik of One Direction saved the world some heartache last night when he stopped his band mate Harry Styles from walking into a giant wall of flames that were part of the "Take Me Home" stage pyrotechnics. Just as Harry, Zayn, Niall, Liam, and Louis were wrapping up their cover of Wheetus' "Teenage Dirtbag" last night in Chicago, Styles decided to wipe his face off with a towel. He then left said towel draped over his head in a way that he was covering his vision, and he then began walking towards a large flame that had been set off to signal the end of the song. Director Bryan Singer has been filling his Twitter account with exclusive set photos while filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is hitting theaters in 2014. Though his photo updates come randomly, they always come with pretty great revelations. For instance, Singer posted photos of Jennifer Lawrence in her Mystique body suit and paint; he announced castings with pictures of the actors being cast, and also just confirmed the return of Lucas Till as Havok. Till had been rumored to be returning after fans saw the young actor in Canada, near the set and posted photos online. Now the director himself has confirmed the reprisal. The exclusive preview clip definitely brings fans back into the crazy antics of "the gang," and even shows some other familiar faces. According to reports, Demi Lovato was taking part in her "X-Factor" judging duties during the audition phase of the show when she apparently bashed pop sensation Justin Bieber! One contestant reminded the "Heart Attack" singer too much of her former BFF Selena Gomez's on-again, off-again boyfriend so she decided to speak her mind a bit. Passion Pitt will continue its tour in support of its latest album Gossamer starting in mid-August and last until early November with some support from The Joy Formidable. The concerts at New York's Pier 26 on September 6 and 7 are makeup dates for those who could not make it to the band's Madison Square Garden show during the blizzard in February of 2013. Back in 2010, pop singer Taylor Swift and "Glee" hunk Cory Monteith were rumored to be dating, and definitely flirted on occasion. Some have even speculated that Swift's songs "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "Back to December" were written about the "Glee" star. We are either in the final days or the final hours of the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy, but nobody really has any idea. Kate Middleton's due date had been reported to be June 11, 13 or maybe even the 17th over the course of her pregnancy, but no official announcement has come from Buckingham Palace in regards to this. Last month, One Direction member Zayn Malik decided to get a new tattoo during a break from the North American leg of his band's "Take Me Home" tour. So he and band mate Louis Tomlinson went to a tattoo parlor where Malik walked out with new ink on his right upper arm that turned out to be of his girlfriend, Perrie Edwards. Clearly a big step for the young couple's relationship, the tattoo has resulted in criticism towards Malik's decision but we have yet to hear from his Little Mix beau.
