Angela Bassett has been on the go promoting her new film "Whitney," which is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime Saturday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m. One stop the new director made was to "The Wendy Williams Show," where she opened up about directing for the first time, Bobbi Kristina drama and her thoughts on making the movie. When Wendy asked the actress, "I understand this is your first time directing?" Bassett replied, "My first time." Wendy, "How did this all come about for you?" Bassett: "I was having lunch one day with the executive producer who produced [the] 'Betty and Coretta' movie that I did for Lifetime with Mary J. Blige a couple years back. He says he's working on this Whitney movie ... knowing his integrity, the way he goes about things, I was excited about it, because two years I wasn't excited about the idea." Looks like Tara Wallace doesn't think Peter Gunz is all that bad. "MStars News" has learned that the mother of two of Gunz's sons is defending their love triangle on "Love & Hip Hop" via Twitter. After Monday night, Jan. 12's episode, where Peter and Tara took their boys on a secret vacation as Amina Buddafly stayed home due to her due date, the couple shared some ups and downs, as Peter tried his best to win Tara back. Peter previously told his wife Amina that he had a business trip to go to in Trinidad and it was right around the corner from her due date. Gunz wasn't telling the truth on his travels and instead lied about spending time with his ex and the mother of two of his sons. When Gunz tried to explain his reasons for marrying Amina, and still wanting Tara back, he told Tara during their trip that he has "women problems" — in other words, he's addicted to too many females. When it comes to love, this little lady doesn't play games. "MStars News" has learned that "Little Women: LA" star Tonya Banks called it quits with her boyfriend Trevor. In the video clip below, Tonya finds out from her friend and co-star Briana Manson that Trevor is no good: "Briana texting me saying that her and Trevor have been having conversations." In the next clip, Tonya chats one on one with Briana and asks her friend, "Are you liking Trevor, you've been talking to him ... what the hell's going on?" Briana says, "I'm not talking to Trevor, he's talking to me," as Tonya shows the other women text messages that Briana sent her, telling her she had some news on her boyfriend. "Trevor messaged me on Facebook, and I said, 'What's up,'" Briana claims that Trevor wanted her to call him. Looks like Yandy Smith may have already walked down the aisle to marry her longtime fiance Mendeecees Harris. In a new interview with VH1, "MStars News" learns that Yandy may have hinted that she's married. The couple were close to saying "I do" in the first episode of the new season of "Love & Hip Hop," but as the wedding ceremony went on Yandy stopped the process, opting for a bigger wedding that involved family and friends. In the clip below, the couple went to Vegas and almost tied the knot as the officiant says, "Mendeecees, do you take Yandy to be your wife ... and do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect her forsaking all others as long as you both shall live?" He said a quick "yes" as Yandy was asked the same questions. But in a new interview the couple talk about that clip. "I have dreamt about this my whole entire life, and all of my girlfriends who have seen us fight, seen me cry, seen me happy, seen me so excited ... they need to be a part of it," Yandy said. She adds, "There's so many people that helped us stay together, there's so many people that didn't want to see us together ... so it's like 'let us show them."' "Jurassic Park" star Jeff Goldblum has some exciting news! "MStars News" has learned that the actor and his new wife Emilie Livingston is expecting the couple's first child together this year. According to ABC, the two married in November and baby soon followed the 62-year-old and his 32-year-old wife. Goldblum announced the wonderful news on "The Late Show with David Letterman." "She's pregnant!" Goldblum said. Emilie, an Olympic gymnast, showed the audience some of her moves while revealing that they were three months along. "She's three months pregnant," the proud papa-to-be said.
