Queen Bey wrapped up the first leg of her U.S. Mrs. Carter Show World Tour Monday night bringing hit back to her hubby's hometown at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. Some people were pleasantly surpassed when they heard the new Smashing Pumpkins album "Oceania" last year. The sound was much more in tune with what fans of grunge-era Billy Corgan produced. But some fans would rather just hear the Smashing Pumpkins play the same ol' hits over and over again versus try to evolve. We're not saying wither side is necessarily wrong. Legendary Beatles member Paul McCartney is pulling a page out of the Rolling Stones' "50 and Counting" tour book and adding more shows to his 2013 tour. It was just announced that McCartney will play at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on June 8 and 10 as a part of his "Out There" tour. This will be McCartney's first performance at the Barclays Center since it opened in September 2012. The singer's world tour is expected to be a massive success, with McCartney playing in some new venues as well as places of historical significance to him. Read More »

Since opening September 21, 2012, Brooklyn's Barclays Center has hosted a number of huge events outside of it's usual gig as the home of the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z opened up the arena with a string of concerts, then a number of big performers visited the Barclays Center such as the Rolling Stones and Barbara Streisand. In addition, Beyonce and Rihanna have concerts scheduled in the summer of 2013. However, another major event will be taking place in Brooklyn this year.
