What happens when U.K. royalty meets the U.S. verison? Well, we found out last night as Jay-Z and Beyoncé met British royal couple Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, with the royal visit to New York City scoring a meeting between royalty from both sides of the Atlantic. The two couples hung out at last night's game between LeBron James's Cleveland Cavaliers and the Brooklyn Nets, while protests were staged outside the arena. Brooklyn's own royal couple — hip-hop kingpin Jay-Z and Queen of R&B Beyoncé — took the opportunity to meet William and Kate on the court before the start of the fourth quarter of the game, and the two power couples chatted and exchanged pleasantries in a meeting of two different worlds. As the royal pair entered the arena in the third quarter, the majority of the Brooklyn crowd stood to watch the royal pair take their seats amid much security and photo-taking, as a buzz hit the arena as though it was an NBA playoff game. According to TooFab, Beyoncé, along with her husband Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy, attended the premiere of the movie "Annie" in New York City. It has truly been one sad week in the world of entertainment, as fans, friends and family mourn the loss of Kelly Rowland's mother Miss Doris Rowland Garrison and Todd Tucker's mother Miss Sharon. "MStars News" previously learned that both died Tuesday, Dec. 2. Miss Sharon died in NYC from a fatal stroke, as Miss Doris died at the age of 66 in Atlanta a few days after her birthday from an unknown illness that she had been battling for some time now. Though little is known about Rowland's mother, the singer did share a touching message about Miss Doris back in 2008. According to HNGN, Rowland revealed a sweet message about her mother and Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles on Mother's Day: Dear Momma and Mama T, God must have thought I was really special to give me two mothers. Momma, I remember when you'd clap your hands and listen as I sang along every week to the theme song for the show "Amen." You'd look at me like I was the sun and the moon and say, "Sing up, baby ... a little louder." It meant so much that you believed in me. When we had rough times in Houston, you did your best to balance our family with your job as a live-in nanny. And I know it was difficult for you to run me back and forth for rehearsals after I joined Destiny's Child. I spent a lot of nights at the Knowleses' house. Soon a month turned into a year, then years. You came by every day, though, and cooked dinner, and we'd all eat as a family. Nicki Minaj is gearing up to release her highly anticipated third studio album "The Pinkprint," and fans are literally chomping at the bit to get their hands on it. While the star was supposed to release the LP In November, she pushed it back to Dec. 15, yet it feels like the wait is going to be well worth it as the new album has some pretty amazing collabs on it. Not only will the Queen of Rap be once again slaying with Queen B — that's Beyoncé for all those late to the party — but she will also be rapping alongside Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Drake, Meek Mill and Skylar Grey.
