Russia Launches Its Own Fashion Council To Support Local Talent

Russian Fashion Week has been held biannually in Moscow for the past 15 years, yet many Russian designers have struggled to grow their businesses. The reason for this is lack of support. According to "Fashionista," Moscow has never had programs, funds, scholarships or mentorship for emerging designers like New York and London do. On Friday, Oct. 24, the president and co-founder of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, Alexander Shumsky, announced the launch of the Russian Fashion Council. Model Karlie Kloss Fronts Nike's Fall Campaign [PHOTOS]

Nike has worked with a number of fashion models in its 50-year history, but never on the scale it has worked with Karlie Kloss, who fronts Nike's fall campaign. Nike unveiled its spring/summer 2015 women's collection in New York City Wednesday, Oct. 22, which kicked off with a presentation from Nike CEO Mark Parker and a small runway presentation with more than two dozen of the female athletes Nike sponsors. L'Oreal Signs Agreement to Buy Carol's Daughter
