There isn't much that can stop Tom Brady. Sure there was the championship drought or the two times the Giants beat the Patriots with minutes left in the Super Bowl, but other than that, Brady is football's Captain Clutch the way Derek Jeter was for the Yankees. Not even legal proceedings can stop Brady because a day after showing up to a Federal Court, he laced up his boots, put on a jersey and threw the football around for the Pats against the Green Bay Packers in Thursday Night's pre-season loss. He didn't play much but it's just a testament to how much Brady loves being on the field. Read More »
The New England Patriots have arguably been the best team in football since the start of the 2000s. With four Super Bowl wins, 12 AFC East division titles, and an undefeated 2007-2008 regular season, it's very hard to argue that point—even with Deflategate floating overhead. Head Coach Bill Belichick and future first ballot Hall of Fame Quarterback Tom Brady have created a dynasty in Foxboro, and though many stars have come and gone, the Pats have remained atop that division due to keeping these two around. The Jets woes with Geno Smith continue and this time the thing that did him in isn't a fumble or pick. It was the sucker punching right hand of 2014 draft pick Ikemefuna Enemkpali. Now the locker room attack will leave him out of action for 6 - 10 weeks because of a broken jaw. Apparently the altercation between the linebacker and Smith was due to Smith not showing up after being invited to his camp in Pflugerville, Texas on July 11. A close friend of Smith passed away a few days priors but still, Enemkapli was livid after Smith failed to pay back the money he owed for a plane ticket. Enemkapli had originally footed the bill.
