ABC debuted Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to plenty of hype in the aftermath of the blockbuster success of The Avengers and other acclaimed films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has had some superpowered characters during its brief run thus far in Season 1, including the origins stories of Graviton and Blizzard. Fans who had been waiting (im)patiently for answers with regard to Agent Phil Coulson’s mysterious resurrection on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finally got some answers in the first new episode of 2014 entitled “The Magical Place.” The show did not reveal everything, but Clark Gregg, who plays Coulson, may have offered a huge clue as to the real answer. In a recent interview with Death Row Records' chief engineer Rick Clifford, we learned that notorious rapper and actor Tupac Shakur almost landed a role in the 2001 film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. This might seem like a weird casting to think about, but the role he auditioned for with George Lucas was eventually filled by Samuel L. Jackson: Mace Windu. Captain America: The Winter Soldier aka Captain America 2 hits theaters on April 4, 2014 and will pit Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) against his old World War II partner Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who was presumed dead but survives into the present day and becomes the Winter Soldier. Marvel is currently in its second phase of films and this week we get our first extended look at Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Chris Evans returns as the title character and is accompanied by Anthony Mackie's Falcon, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, and well as Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. American pop sensation Taylor Swift has just been cast in a new spy movie, The Secret Service. Compared to the James Bond franchise, the film will star Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine. The production team apparently wants other pop stars in the mix since Elton John and Adele have also reportedly been offered cameo roles in the film. David Beckham was also offered a cameo role and Taylor is pretty excited about that. Read More »
