Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart kept his promise and headed to Capitol Hill on Wednesday alongside a group of 9/11 first responders to fight Congress for refusing to extend the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. Back in 2009, comedian Steve Rannazzisi, who stars on FX’s near-ending series The League, told reporters that he once worked for Merrill Lynch in the World Trade Center when the 9/11 attacks occurred. The comedian explained that he worked in the south tower and escaped the building after the first plane stuck. Despite Avengers: Age of Ultron dominating the box office back when it was released, it looks like not everyone in Hollywood is praising the film. Former Expendables star Jason Statham reportedly trashed the film’s use of CGI and green screens. The comment eventually made its way to one of the films stars, Paul Bettany, who suggested that perhaps its time Statham get an “acting double.” Which basically means the film star called Statham a bad actor, no? Late-night comedy has longtime been a male-dominated profession. But over the years there have been women stepping into the limelight of late-night and doing very well. Comedian Chelsea Handler, as one example, became tremendously successful on E!'s Chelsea Lately and former Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee is gearing up for her TBS series, which airs in Jan. 2016. But given this new Vanity Fair piece, which shows ten late-night hosts and labels them as the "titans of late-night television," it looks as if women just aren't getting their credit – because all ten are men.
