Orange Is the New Black star Taryn Manning is suing the NYPD for $10 million due to her arrest in November of 2014. The actress, who plays Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett on the Netflix show, filed a complaint with Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday.

Manning did receive good news on Tuesday when her assault case with her former makeup artist was dismissed.

Page Six reports Manning was arrested for sending threatening text messages to her alleged stalker and former friend, Jeanine Heller.

The 37-year-old actress stated that she was at a meeting with detectives and her attorney, Stacey Richman.

In her sworn affidavit, Manning wrote, "The meeting ended when I was handcuffed by a detective and locked in a small room adjacent to the interview room. Approximately 20 minutes later, I was removed . . . still handcuffed and marched through the precinct. I was processed and ultimately placed in a holding cell."

Manning claims she was kept in the holding cell for a few hours and also stated the NYPD leaked details of her arrest to the media. She is suing for "attorney’s fees, hours of detention, emotional distress and reputational harm."

Manning's stalker, Heller, was sentenced to six months in prison for violating the conditions of her release by texting the actress.

In 2012, the 8 Mile star was accused of assault by her makeup artist Holly Hartman.

TMZ reported the fight with her makeup artist included the actress daring Hartman to stab her to death.

Hartman reportedly claimed Manning headbutted her, hit her with a wet towel, sprayed Windex in her eyes and mouth and put her in a headlock.

During the fight, Manning allegedly yelled to Hartman ... "Pick a knife. I'm wearing a white shirt there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning."

E! News reports a judge cleared Manning of assault charges on Tuesday, after Hartman failed to show for the court hearing.

Hartman's attorney said, "We are preparing to file a new, more compressive, petition later this week."
