Just a few days ago, we all saw for the first time Spider-Man joining Marvel Universe in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, and we after watching the trailer, we couldn't be more excited. But it's not just this film fans of superhero are waiting for. 2016 is going to bring a lot of amazing superhero films and each looks more kickass than the other. Here's our list of a few films that superhero film lovers are surely wanting to see this year.

1. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman and Superman are probably the oldest superheroes we all know of, and in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, these two superheroes are going to fight each other. And yes, the film also features Wonder Woman, so it makes the film a little more interesting. Now according to Variety, this superhero film is going to release on March 25, 2016, and not on May 6, 2016, as it was earlier planned.

2. Captain America: Civil War:

Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. starrer Captain America: Civil War will not only show Captain America and Iron Man turning against each other but from the recently released trailer it looks like the film will assemble a majority of superheroes like Ant-Man, Black Widow, Hawk Eye, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch and, yes, Spider-Man.

According to Marvel, Captain America: Civil War will show Steve Rogers aka Captain America leading a newly formed team of Avengers in their efforts to save the humanity from the greater danger. But one terrible move from the Avengers will result in heavy collateral damage and the government now wants to handle the Avengers on their own terms. The most awaited superhero flick is slated to release on May 6, 2016.

3. X-Men: Apocalypse:

The recently released posters for the upcoming film from the X-Men franchise shows the gravity of the upcoming film. Apparently the film will feature a lot of new characters including the mutant antagonist En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse (played by Oscar Issac). In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Issac described Apocalypse as "creative/destructive force of the Earth." The 37-year-old actor further stated that when things go awry, Apocalypse destroys it.

"When things start to go awry, or when things seem like they're not moving towards evolution, [Apocalypse] destroys those civilizations."

So, it looks like the upcoming X-Men film will decide the future of the X-Men films in the years to come.

4. Suicide Squad:

Suicide Squad will show all the supervillains getting together to save the town. The film will feature Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Boomerang and others.
