The production of Disney's Frozen 2 has already begun and from the recent updates, it looks like Disney has altogether different plans for our dear Elsa.

CinemaBlend stated that in Frozen 2, Disney is going to evolve Elsa's character from her Queen of Ice persona to a Queen who understand her powers and knows when to use them. In Frozen, Elsa has difficult time coming to terms with who she was. Her entire path was dark and gloomy, and it was up to her sister to save the day by bonding with her sister. Mostly, what we saw in Frozen was Elsa's villainous side. But things are about to change in Frozen 2.

Frozen's co-director Chris Buck stated that Elsa indeed had some difficult time along with one time when she accidentally used her powers but audiences saw at the end was clearly very different. The director was further quoted by Fandango as saying:

"[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That's what was really good about the short -- we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality... you will see in the next one."

For a while, it has been speculated that Disney is going to touch some serious adult issues with Frozen 2. While talking with MTV, Buck has stated that the writing team is trying to talk about issues like LGBT with Frozen 2.

"I think we're very aware of what is happening in society. I don't think any of us take [them] lightly, even though they can be very funny and entertaining, the messages that our movies have and the influence they can have on young people."

So, does this mean that the change that Disney is planning for Elsa is for her to be a lesbian? What do you think folks?
