Fifth Harmony debuted as a four-member girl group during the 2017 People's Choice Awards on Jan. 18 in Los Angeles. This was the first time that the girls performed in public after one of their members, Camila Cabello, left the group last year. Fans took to Twitter to express their reaction at the new group who performed "Work from Home".

Fifth Harmony performed at the PCA with a darker, edgy look!

Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke Hernandez, and Dinah Jane shook the stage with her sexy, black outfits, and a slightly changed "Work from Home" lyrics for their PCA performance. Us Weekly reported that the group started the song with "'We ain't worried 'bout nothin' / We ain't worried 'bout nada'."

The first verse of the Fifth Harmony song was originally performed by Cabello. After her exit, the group switched things up and did solos during "Work from Home". Last year, the 19-year-old singer had left the group to pursue a solo project, but there seemed to have been an underlying conflict within the team.

Cabello told the press that she had felt sexualized during her time as a member of Fifth Harmony. They were supposed to be an "adult" group, but Cabello said she was just a teenager then and did not feel comfortable with some of the things she was told to do. The group informed their fans on social media that Cabello's representatives had told them of her departure.

After that post, Cabello replied to the fans that it wasn't true. She said that her former teammates had already known about her plans to pursue solo projects. The slight changes to the "Work from Home" lyrics signals that the group is not worried about their future without Cabello. In fact, the girls just won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Band!

Fifth Harmony has more projects lined up in 2017

It looks like the group's future will be bright. Entertainment Tonight reported that the new Fifth Harmony album will be released this 2017. The group had re-signed with Epic Records and Syco after Cabello left the team. An insider close to the group said that the girls were given a lot more freedom to decide the direction of their music.

Many Twitter fans showed mixed reactions to the new girl group. Some expressed solid support for the girls and their new, dark, edgy look, but there were others who missed Cabello's voice. Fans will see Fifth Harmony again on the 10th Anniversary of Family Gras, which will be held at the Veterans Memorial Boulevard, from Feb. 17 to 19.
