So finally it has happened for her. On Wednesday, Jennifer Lopez won her first People's Choice Award. She thanked her twins, Max and Emme while receiving the award for Favorite Crime Drama TV Actress for her portrayal as Harlee in Shades of Blue.

The 43rd People's Choice Awards honored the best of pop culture in the past year at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, reports Entertainment Tonight. The awards show which was hosted by Joel McHale saw Deadpool, Finding Dory, Suicide Squad, Zootopia and Captain America: Civil War fight for the Favorite Movie award. Fighting ambitiously for the Favorite TV Show Award were Grey's Anatomy, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory.

Coming back to Jennifer Lopez, who won her first People's Choice Award after being nominated for six times, the 47-year-old singer won not just the award but also won on the red carpet with her sexy and sultry avatar. While receiving the award in her stunning Reem Acra gown, Lopez expressed that she didn't expect winning the award and she feels so lucky to be playing such a strong female character in Shades of Blue.

On the other hand, 'drama queen' Priyanka Chopra got second time lucky. Chopra won her second People's Choice Award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress for her portrayal of Alex Parrish in the TV series Quantico, reports E! News. "I'm really happy being a 'drama queen' if this is how it's done!" she said as she received the award.

Chopra even called herself 'really psyched' and asked the audience if she could do a little wiggle. She was up against known names like Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Ellen Pompeo. She confessed that the reason of her joining television were other incredible actresses that were nominated with her for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress. In 2016, she had won her first People's Choice Award for Favorite Actress in a New TV Series for Quantico.
