‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2 Casts 'Game of Thrones’ Actor; See Magnus and Alec's First Date

"Shadowhunters" Season 2 will return on Feb. 6 with a romantic date and new revelations. Upcoming episodes will also show a new cast member. Freeform studio has found its Sebastian Verlac in "Game of Thrones" and "Humans" actor Will Tudor who will appear on screen in the second half of Season 2.

Showrunners Todd Slavkin and and Darren Swimmer told TV Line that Tudor's performance was excellent. Slavkin said that they were very impressed with Tudor's self-taped audition and found that his performance as Sebastian was emotionally powerful. In his audition, Tudor used an American accent, which did not hinder his performance, but the producers asked him to use his original British accent anyway and were blown away.

This is one thing that the producers have decided to change after witnessing Tudor's audition. Instead of Sebastian hailing from Paris, he will be from the London Institute. Slavkin also later discovered that Tudor is good friends with Dominic Sherwood, who plays Jace Wayland on "Shadowhunters" Season 2, which is all sorts of ironic since they are enemies in the book.

Sebastian will join the New York Institute for Shadowhunters later in the season as a recurring character. In the later part of "Shadowhunters" Season 2, he will be seen fighting alongside main characters Clary (Katherine McNamara), Jace (Dominic Sherwood), Simon, (Alberto Rosende), and Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia).

Meanwhile, in "Shadowhunters" Season 2 Episode 6 titled "Iron Sisters", fans will finally see Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) hitting it off on their first date. Fans of the books have long waited for the two character's romance to develop steadily. Entertainment Weekly revealed photos of the Malec couple on a romantic night out. The two are seen at a bar, drinking and playing pool. Watch the trailer below to see more.
