Song Joong-ki & Song Hye-kyo's Possible Reunion This February for 'DOTS' First Anniversary

Even if the Korean drama "Descendants Of The Sun" has long ended, it seems that the fans are petitioning for a second season of the hit fictional drama. In relation to its success, lead stars and Hallyu actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo continue to rise in popularity and are reported to reunite this month.

Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo might appear together for the first alleged anniversary celebration of "Descendants of the Sun", according to a post on Twitter. However, the said celebration is not yet even confirmed to happen, according to India.

"Descendants of the Sun" aired on KBS2 from February 24 to April 14, 2016. Despite being an Asian drama, the 16-episode series was a great hit among fans throughout the world. There were also heavy speculations that a second season will premiere next year.

Aside from the lauded storyline, the on-screen chemistry between Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo made headlines. Fans of the on-screen couple are desired for the both to have a real-life relationship.In one occasion, Song Joong-ki admitted that the actress was always there for him and that she was a positive influence in his life in an interview with Korea Star Daily,

 "I think Song Hye-kyo influenced me the most, as she spent the most time with me during the filming. She was always considerate of everyone around her and her behavior is a living proof of why she is such a great star. Actually, she filmed all the difficult scenes- episodes in which Kang cries in sadness after Yoo's death- all at once when I was in bed due to the injury. It must have been really pressuring and difficult, but she volunteered to do it," said Song Joong-ki praising his Descendants of the Sun co-star.

Despite the dating rumors surrounding the on-screen couple, both respective agencies of Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo denied reports that the couple is dating. Dating rumors began to emerge on December 31, after the KBS Awards gala as the alleged couple was seen together smiling and holding hands with each other. Although these actions entail they are a couple, still neither of the two confirmed their dating status.

Dating or not, the tandem proved they are an unbeatable love team as they shared the Best Couple Award four times last year. Maybe Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo indeed reunite once again as a thank you for the world wide phenomena caused by "Descendants Of The Sun".
