Rip Hunter joins the team travel to the dark side of the Moon in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 14. The former Waverider captain is finally back after his team rescues him in "Land of the Lost."

The CW has released the synopsis for "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 14, which promises another exciting adventure for the Legends. This time they travel to 1970 Houston after they track down Nate's (Nick Zano) grandfather at the NASA Headquarters.

In "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 14, aptly titled "Moonshot," the team travels to the dark side of the moon. According to the synopsis from Comic Book Move, the Waverider takes to space to try to intercept the Apollo 13. The Legends travel to space after they notice a time aberration during the mission.

It is likely that the Legion of Doom is involved, as the trailer for "Moonshot" revealed. Likewise, "Land of the Lost" hinted at the villains' next move to retrieve the Sword of Destiny.

To recap, Episode 13 saw Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash disguise himself as one of the pilots for the mission. Apparently, he is aware that Citizen Steel has the other piece of the Sword of Destiny. Evil Rip may have already told him about its whereabouts.

However, the Waverider suffers a massive internal damage along the way. It seems Ray/Atom (Brandon Routh) fixes the problem, which in exchange leaves him stranded on the moon. Photos from TV Line for "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 14 show Ray aboard the ship with Reverse Flash.

Meanwhile, tension also grows between Rip and Sara in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 14. Now that Rip is back after his team saved him in "Land of the Lost," problems only arise in terms of leadership. Whom between Sara and Rip will the Legends consider as their captain now?
