'Kingdom Hearts 3' News Update: Director Talks About Keyblade Transformations And Rock Troll!

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is among the most anticipated games. Fans have been waiting for it for years but Square Enix has been reluctant in sharing details about the title. Fortunately, director Tetsuya Nomura is generous enough to discuss the Rock Troll and the Keyblade transformation.

In a recent interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura shared some juicy details about the title. The "Kingdom Hearts 3" director explained some information that fans want to clear in the screenshot shared at Magic 2017 in Monaco.

The "Kingdom Hearts 3" photo featured Sora and a huge heartless "Rock Troll" fighting in the city of Thebes in Olympus. According to Nomura the "Rock Troll" is a mid-boss.

Nomura also revealed that the Keyblades in "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature two unique transformation patterns which players can use during key moments depending on their needs. For instance, a particular Keyblade will transform into tools that open up certain areas on the map that have been obscured. So players can find new mysteries or treasures, WWG reported.

When prompted what particular Keyblades in "Kingdom Hearts 3" have two transformations, Tetsuya Nomura revealed that it's the one they are currently working on. He added that the said Keyblade can transform into a tank and shield similar to the one they just showed. Meanwhile, the Keyblade on the trailer can transform into a pair of crossbows for each hand and a bazooka.

In "Kingdom Hearts 3" the Keyblade's transformation depends on the Keyblade itself. However, there is no division of attack and defense.

Meanwhile, when Nomura was prompted to talk more about the "Link" indicator found in the command parts the "Kingdom Hearts 3" director refused to give more details. "I'll have to explain that the next time we release new information," said Nomura as he laughed, per Siliconera.
