The "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is one best game available for Nintendo Switch. The game is also available for other consoles such as Wii U but there is a subtle difference in many areas. The performance and graphics of the game are compared for both the consoles so players can decide to upgrade to the new console or not.

Nintendo Switch was released this year and is one of a kind hybrid console to play games. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" certainly looks better on the console and it churns out more frames per second compared to the Nintendo Wii U, reports TechnoBuffalo. Switch also pushes out more pixels at 900p (in docked mode) compared to 720p output by Wii U. However, both consoles fail to deliver consistent performance and frame rates.

There are several scenes in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" such as explosions while the Link is indulged in a combat where the performance drop is maximum in Wii U. Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, experiences minor performance hiccups and occasional dropped frames which do not hinder the gaming experience, reports Kotaku.

Nintendo Switch version looks a lot better when the device is docked. "It improves the appearance of distant objects, moving transparencies like grass, and cuts down on pixel crawl on geometric edges," Digital Foundry reported. Additionally, Switch also has a better sound output than Wii U because of its more memory that helps in higher sound sampling. However, the differences aren't very noticeable that can cause any issue with the gameplay experience.

On an end-user level, the differences are minor between the gameplay on Nintendo Switch and Wii U. But if the gamers are planning to play The "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on a bigger screen such as TV, the additional resolution output by Switch will make the game look much more detailed than Wii U.
