However, according to Bustle, there have been clues beforehand that assure fans that "New Girl" Season 7 is likely going to happen.

According to the publication, the network and the show's producers are working on the renewal. A representative from Fox confirmed that discussions are taking place for "New Girl" Season 7. The network and studios are working on a deal that benefits both.

Likewise, the Season 6 Finale supposedly work both ways. It can spur a renewal or a cancellation. Executive Producer David Finkel said that the finale could be the final run of the show or it could be a set up for "New Girl" Season 7.

The Season 6 Finale ended with a happy ending for everyone, which may not warrant a sequel. However, Finkel already has ideas in mind if Fox does give "New Girl" Season 7 a green light. He told TV Line that the installment will keep Jess and Nick as a couple and will feature a pregnant Cece. Like the fans, Finkel is also hoping that Fox renews the show.
