Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton Return To The New 'Terminator' Movie

The upcoming film sequel of "The Terminator" may mean more than just another sci-fi action film, the big reunion of its lead actors and its director will bring the viewers back to the 1980's but with a more high-tech CGI and HD. That is what this generation has been offering but the legendary actors will remain, and that is what makes "The Terminator" sequel more iconic. The announcement that Linda Hamilton who played the Terminator's target, Sarah Connor will be joining once again James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger made the 25-year reunion in the making of the original film more meaningful.

In an event held by The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, Linda Hamilton proudly introduces her character as the one who fought so hard regardless of being a female, and this has brought in the idea that female combatants never fade. James Cameron, the original director of the film has the same principle with regards to gender roles and he has even pointed out that the age of the actor is meaningless as veteran actors in their 50's and 60's are still active to action films. More so that actresses on that age range should be promoted.

James Cameron, who has been in talks about "reinventing" a certain film but will still be along the trail of its original storyline. USA TODAY reports that Cameron will be producing "The Terminator" franchise while "Deadpool's" Tim Miller will be the director, however, there were three more who deliberated with them to come up with what Cameron said will be "something new and fresh that stands on its own." The film which is planned for 2019, will need old and new actors, as it was conceptualized by writers David Goyer (The Dark Knight), Charles Eglee (Dark Angel), and Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

Although Arnold Schwarzenegger was not at all agreeing with the idea of passing on his throne as "The Terminator", James Cameron hinted that the new film will connect to Schwarzenegger's once-murderous T-800 as it melts to prevent a more destructive machine evolution to occur. Still, Cameron even defended his characters over other superheroes and pointed out the realism of their roles compared to just being a "beauty icon."
