One day after rumors flew that the release date for Drake's new album "Nothing Was The Same" had been pushed back a week, work on the "Started From The Bottom" rapper's third album continues to march on. In the late hours of Wednesday night (Aug. 21), Drake tweeted out the album cover for his third record and confirmed the new date.

As rumored yesterday, "Nothing Was The Same" will drop on Sept. 24. It was originally scheduled for release one week earlier, on Sept. 17.

Though a week delay is surely a letdown for fans who are anxious for new Drake music, there is some "Nothing Was The Same" news that will whet people's appetites... In the same series of tweets in which Drake confirmed the new release date, the rapper also unveiled his new album cover.

The artwork for "Nothing Was The Same" consists of two covers; both versions are done in the same style and by the same artist, Kadir Nelson. Album cover one shows a grown up Drake, with a buzz cut and perfectly trimmed beard, wearing a gold chain and looking to his left. The second album cover shows what is presumably a baby Aubrey Graham (Drake's real name), with a fuzzy Afro and a look of hope in his eyes. The young Graham looks to his right. Both covers feature a bright blue sky background, complete with clouds.

Done in a traditional oil painting style, the covers seem to reflect Drake's growth as a person and an artist.

The album will be released on Sept. 24, and has been preceded by singles "Started From The Bottom" and "Hold On, We're Going Home."
