Season 2 of The Strain is already in production as the horror/vampire show makes its way back on FX.  Based on Guillermo Del Toro's bestselling novels, published by Dark Horse Comics, will the Crimson Peak director allow Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) to "grow in scope" against The Master?

The first season followed Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) as they discovered a deadly vampire plague spreading across New York City. As they search for a cure, an old and retired vampire hunter, Abraham Setrakian, (David Bradley) and a rat exterminator, Vasiliy Fet join the crusade to defeat the ancient evil. They must all work together to save the world from The Master and his minions, including Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel).

In an interview with TV Line, while promoting his appearance in Vikings, the Lost actor teases what's in store, "Right now we're shooting Episodes 6 and 7, and I just got scripts for 8 and 9, so it's just rolling along. It's taking off from where we left off and it just keeps growing in scope. We're having a ball over here."

Durand adds, "Yeah, I kind of lucked out to get to play in these universes!"
