According to reports, 26 different critics' circles have chosen their picks for the best achievements in film for the year, and when all of the wins are accounted for, Tom McCarthy's "Spotlight" comes out on top. Part of what drew fans' excitement over 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' when it was first announced, was hearing that the original trio of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford would be coming back, obviously over 30 years older.
