Are the controversial lovebirds Rihanna and Chris Brown officially broken up... again? According to several recent gossip reports they are... and it's all because of ex-flames Drake AND Karrueche Tran. It's hard to believe any of the rumors surrounding the infamous R&B couple at this point... but apparently the duo hasn't spoken since the Grammys. As U.K.'s The Sun reports, RiRi spent the majority of the evening texting Brown's ultimate rival and frenemy Drake. The "Don't Wake Me Up" crooner wasn't too pleased with that. Reports confirm that popular WCBS News anchor Rob Morrison was arrested early Sunday morning (Feb. 17) for choking his wife and fellow CBS anchor, Ashley Morrison. Law enforcement confirms that Morrison continued to fight and threaten Ashley during and after the arrest at his suburban Connecticut home. He now faces second-degree strangulation, a felony charge. Just last week, rapper Lil Wayne sent out a heated tweet claiming that he'd just been ejected from a Heat vs. L.A. Lakers game in Miami for allegedly "supporting his team." But Weezy's beef with the NBA didn't end there - at a recent All-Star Weekend party in Houston, Lil Wayne took to the stage to slam the Miami Heat even more, yelling to the crowd, "F#ck the NBA! During a heated battle on the court between the California Golden Bears and the USC Trojans on Sunday (Feb. 17), Cal head coach Mike Montgomery called an emotional timeout, where he ended up giving star player Allen Crabbe a little shove for motivation... which the popular All-Conference guard wasn't too happy about. Crabbe escaped to the locker room to calm down, and eventually came back out to lead his team to a 76-68 victory over USC. Although Crabbe eventually forgave Coach Montgomery for his rather harsh attempt at "pumping his star player up," the Cal head coach later made an official apology for his actions "overly-emotional and inappropriate" actions. The highly-anticipated season 22 premiere of the "Amazing Race" aired on CBS on Sunday, Feb. 17. Ten pairs of two raced from the Griffith Observatory in L.A. to the beautiful island of Bora Bora, where they had to skydive out of a helicopter and then head to a beach covered in four hundred sandcastles in order to dig up the next clue. The hour-long premiere episode ends with three teams lagging behind, fighting to make it to the pit stop in time to avoid a potential elimination. Reports confirm that 37-year-old country songstress Mindy McCready was found dead on Sunday (Feb. 17) of an apparent suicide. NBC Dateline reporter Andrea Canning recently tweeted the unfortunate news that McCready "shot and killed herself earlier this evening." The "Ten Thousand Angels" crooner's brother also confirmed the songstress' suicide to the Daily News. McCready's death comes just a month after her boyfriend David Wilson was found dead on his front porch in Arkansas from a gunshot wound to the head. Reports confirm that Peggy Sue Thomas, an ex-beauty queen and former Ms. Washington, was sentenced to four years in prison on Friday (Feb. 15) for the 2003 murder of Russel Douglas. Although she originally faced decades behind bars after being charged with first-degree murder, Thomas later pleaded guilty to rendering criminal assistance in the death of Douglas.
