Reports confirm that Sheryl Phillips, the mother of popular "American Idol" champ Phillip Phillips, was arrested and charged with a DUI on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14). According to law enforcement, Mama Phillips was spotted swerving across lanes of traffic in Albany, GA on Thursday. When pulled over, she was unable to complete a field sobriety test and officers had reason to believe that she was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. During the State of the Union Address on Tuesday (Feb. 12), Congressman Steven Cohen turned some suspicious heads when he was spotted sending "flirty" tweets to a sexy, 24-year-old model right in the middle of President Obama's annual speech. But it turns out 56-year-old Cohen's mysterious social networking actions were in no way scandalous... the young blonde bombshell is in fact his daughter, Victoria Brink. Reports confirm that former "Melrose Place" starlet Amy Locane-Bovenizer was recently sentenced to three years in prison for vehicular homicide after being charged in a deadly DUI crash that took place back 2010. The 41-year-old actress' blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when the incident occurred, which resulted in the death of Montgomery Township, NJ resident Helene Seeman. Reports confirm that University of Alabama Crimson Tide football players Tyler Hayes, Eddie Williams, and D.J. Pettway were recently charged with two counts of second-degree robbery after violently beating up and stealing from two fellow students. Props to Chris Brown for keeping his cool one night this week after he was spotted leaving the popular L.A. nightclub, "Playhouse." When Brown decided to call it a night and hopped in his Lamborghini to head home, the singer was abruptly confronted by a heckler who verbally assaulted him with profanity and gang threats. Reports confirm that a middle school history teacher from Rowlett, Texas was recently suspended for lassoing a young student in class in an attempt to bring his history lesson "alive" on Monday (Feb. 11). While demonstrating his "rodeo cowboy" lassoing techniques, the unidentified male instructor from the Schrade Middle School ended up whipping a seventh grade student and bruising/cutting the child's neck. After complaints from the 13-year-old student's parents and fellow school officials, the Garland Independent School District suspended the teacher and is currently investigating the situation. Reports confirm that Reeva Steenkamp, a 30-year-old model, activist, law graduate, and rising TV star, was found shot dead in her boyfriend's home on Valentine's Day (Thursday, Feb. 14). Steenkamp's boyfriend, South African Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius, was arrested on Thursday for murder charges. Details surrounding the fatal shooting remain unclear, although some reports allege that Steenkamp was attempting to surprise 26-year-old Pistorius for Valentine's Day when he mistook her for a burglar.
