But now another Hollywood heartthrob has entered the race... 31-year-old Canadian actor and star of the hit action/adventure CW series "Arrow," Stephen Amell. The handsome rising star is in no way considered a "big name" in Hollywood (yet), but isn't that exactly what E.L. James and "Fifty Shades" producers are looking for? Reports confirm that the infamous business mogul Donald Trump has won a $5 million defamation settlement against former Miss U.S.A. 2012 contestant from Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin. Back in June, the brunette bombshell publicly resigned from the annual beauty pageant insisting that the entire competition was rigged. Monnin went on a social media rant days following the event, insisting that the Miss Universe Organization was "fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent, and in many ways trashy." Monnin went so far as to allege that a fellow Miss USA contestant had actually seen a list containing the top 5 contestants before they were officially announced at the 2012 event. Trump (the owner of the pageant) heatedly denied such claims, and the Miss Universe Organization promptly filed an arbitration action for defamation which sought "significant damages" from Monnin for her shady remarks. Earlier this week a New York district court judge sided with Trump, ruling that "the method in which the Miss USA Pageant is judged... precludes any reasonable possibility that the judging was rigged." Reports confirm that at least 17 inmates and guards are dead after an attempted prison break in Durango, Mexico late Tuesday evening (Dec. 18). Reuters reports that several inmates of the Cesero No 2 facility in Gomez Palacio allegedly managed to smuggle weapons inside the building and began manically shooting at the guard towers while attempting to climb over the prison's back walls. On-duty guards then managed to "thwart the inmates'" attempted prison break by responding with their own gunfire, resulting in the death of 11 prisoners and six guardsmen. Congratulations to pop-punk musician Cassadee Pope of Team Blake Shelton for winning the season 3 finale of NBC's hit reality singing competition "The Voice!" The 23-year-old lead vocalist of the Floridian pop rock band Hey Monday beat out fellow teammate Terry McDermott and Team Cee Lo Green's Nicholas David. Pope couldn't conceal her excitement when talking with USA Today after being crowned "The Voice" victor - "I'm still caught up in the moment. I still feel like this is just not real. Jenna von Oy is probably best known for her role as Six LeMeure on the hit 1990s sitcom "Blossom," but the 35-year-old actress/country singer is also a native of Newtown, Connecticut - a small, suburban town that was recently devastated by a tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. Von Oy, who recently christened her daughter Gray Audrey at Newtown's St. Rose of Lima with her husband Brad Bratcher, released a personal and touching statement through People magazine on Saturday (Dec. 15), sending out her heartfelt prayers to those affected by the tragedy in her small hometown. On a recent episode of Bravo's hit reality show the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Adrienne Maloof and Brandi Glanville got into a rather heated spat at a casual real estate event hosted by Kyle Richards' hubby Mauricio Umansky. Although Bravo wouldn't release any details on what the fight was actually about, rumors have it that Glanville was telling people that Maloof used a surrogate to have her three children (something which Maloof and ex-husband Paul Nassif deny). According to recent "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie casting rumors, Eddie Redmayne is the latest celebrity heartthrob who admits he'd definitely consider taking on the lead role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' hit erotica trilogy. In a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, the 30-year-old British actor (who stars in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Les Miserables" alongside Anne Hathaway) claims he'd "never say never" if offered the chance to play Christian Grey.
