R&B songstress Toni Braxton found herself in an L.A. hospital on Monday (Dec. 3) to treat "minor health issues." According to reports, the 45-year-old Grammy Award winner was hospitalized for a lupus flare-up and blood clots. Psy, the K-pop sensation made infamous for the viral hit "Gangnam Style," recently apologized for participating in anti-U.S. protests several years ago after some fans criticized him for being "anti-American." The South Korea native went under fire after an audio recording and images recently surfaced on the web, featuring the rapper perform at a 2002 concert protesting the U.S. military presence in South Korea during the early stages of the Iraq war. In a song entitled "Dear American" - featuring the South Korean metal band N.E.X.T. - Psy sings about "killing those fu##ing Yankees... slowly and painfully." Now a decade later, Psy has issued an official apology to the citizens of the U.S. in "Rolling Stone" magazine, insisting that the rather hateful demonstrations were his initial "deep emotional reactions" to the blossoming war in Iraq. The duo recently turned heads on Thursday evening (Dec. 6) in NYC after exiting a party at City's Crosby Hotel, holding hands and bundling up against the cold. Eye witnesses confirm that the couple cozied up at a mutual friend's birthday bash at the luxurious hotel bar, sharing intimate kisses and giggles throughout the night. Just months before dying in a tragic bike crash on Commonwealth Ave. in Boston, Boston University Graduate student Christopher Weigl wrote his own colorful mock-obituary which was featured in the prestigious Boston Globe. 23-year-old Weigl wrote the fake obit for a class assignment back in September, where he described his love for photojournalism, music, and the outdoors. Weigl passed away on Thursday (Dec. 6), after he was involved in a crash where his bike collided with a 16-wheeler tractor trailer. Weigl was pronounced dead at the scene when police finally arrived. The Notorious B.I.G. was brutally murdered on the streets of L.A. back in 1997 - 15 years after his death, a recently released autopsy report provides graphic details surrounding the tragic shooting which took the life of the infamous East Coast rapper. According to the report, 24-year-old Christopher George Latore Wallace (Biggie Smalls) was shot a total of four times while sitting at a red light in his Chevy Suburban in Los Angeles on the night of March 9, 1997. Popular "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts still remains on medical leave in order to continue treatment for MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder. "50 Shades of Grey" enthusiasts are still eagerly awaiting news of the official casting for the highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James' erotica novel. There is still no sign that such decisions will be made anytime soon, but fans can now most likely cross Channing Tatum off the list as a Christian Grey contender. According to reports, Tatum plans on putting his acting career on hold in 2013 in order to focus on directing and producing - so unless he decides to work on "Fifty Shades of Grey" behind-the-scenes, there's probably little chance that the "Sexiest Man Alive" will be involved in the film. In other Christian Grey-related news, author E.L. James recently admitted that she isn't just paying attention to great looks when casting the part (although that is a main factor). Popular comedian Katt Williams has had a rather interesting past few weeks. It all started when fans sued him over a 'non-performance' in Oakland earlier this November, and ended with a violent bar brawl over the weekend that resulted in the 39-year-old being arrested and charged with assault. Williams was scheduled to attend an arraignment at a Seattle, WA municipal court on Thursday morning (Dec. 6), but the "Friday After Next" star was a no-show. According to Williams' attorney Thomas McAllister, the stand-up comedian apparently believed he wasn't expected to show up in court if he had a legal representative there to speak for him.
