More FIFA arrests have been made. Not for the first time, and probably not for the last time. Unfortunately, this sort of thing as become all too commonplace for the governing body that runs the world's most popular sport. According to CNN, Swiss police have arrested two FIFA officials on suspicion of accepting "millions of dollars" in bribes. The officials in question are reported to be Alfredo Hawit, the president of CONCACAF (governing body for North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean), and Juan Angel Napout, the president of CONMEBOL (governing body of South America). The Kobe Bryant farewell tour is in full effect. Since the announcement of his retirement the headlines have shifted from the incessant talk of Kobe's poor shooting night, to the glorification of an NBA icon (what a relief, too! That other stuff gave all the feels of nails slowly raking down a chalkboard). Everybody wants to get in on the act--from fans, to players, to celebrities, to your cousin's grandma who's never actually watched an NBA game in her life. A Clemson University student was found dead at Memorial Stadium (where the football team plays its home games) Tuesday morning. The student, an 18-year-old freshman from Dunwoody, Georgia, reportedly fell about 120 feet from the top of the south stands, according to school officials and the Pickens County Coroner's office. Former Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Tackle Devon Still has announced that his daughter, Leah, is cancer free. On the day before Thanksgiving, Still posted a picture that read "thank you," on his Instagram account, happily informing everybody that Leah's latest follow-up medical tests showed "no evidence" of cancer. Brooke Lopez and Robin Lopez are Twins--a unique thing in its own right. They're also Twins who both play in the NBA--even more unique. But the most unique aspect of it all is that they both play on teams based in New York, with the Nets and Knicks. And, like a lot of twins, they're close. Kobe Bryant returned to his hometown of Philadelphia for the first time since he announced his retirement, the occasion also doubling as his last visit. And while Bryant would get off to a hot start, hitting three pointers on each of the Lakers first three possessions, he wound up shooting a sub-par 7-for-26 from the field. McIlroy enjoyed another good year on the course, winning four times, capped off by his recent victory at the European Tour's DP World Tour Championship in Dubai (his third such victory in four years).
