Last night, La La Anthony hosted the 2014 Global Spin Awards (GSA), an award show that honors the most dynamic and talented DJ's around the world. For this year's show, Ne-Yo, Diddy, Funk Flex, Busta Rhymes, MC Lyte and over 100 other artists were in attendance to celebrate the big night. Alexander Wang is touching down in London. The brand plans to open its first UK shop on Albemarle Street in Mayfair by early 2015. It's the first European outpost for the designer, who already has stores in Tokyo, Beijing and New York. Wang will join brands including Paul Smith, Amanda Wakeley, Buccellati and Garrard & Co. on the street, which is fast evolving into a retail hotspot. MStars News recently reported that NBA baller Dwight Howard was being investigated for abusing his young son after baby mama Royce Reed accused the athlete of putting his hands on their child. TMZ reports Howard is under criminal investigation for child abuse. The Cobb County PD in Georgia now has an active criminal investigation into allegations he beat his 6-year-old son Braylon with a belt buckle. The Dept. of Children and Families in Florida (DCF) determined there wasn't enough evidence of child abuse to go forward, but it turns out the incident occurred in Georgia. Michael Kors has just launched #InstaKors, a program which allows users to register their email addresses and Instagram usernames at the special landing page. Michael Kors then shoots a linked email when the customer likes a shoppable photo on Instagram. Thousands of brands, bloggers and retailers post products to Instagram every day, but due to the social media site's "no-links handicap," they can't link out to those products for followers to buy. "MStars News" recently reported that Marc Jacobs Beauty debuted a solution to this frustrating problem by creating a Shop via @MarcBeauty Instagram website. Want to be the next Rihanna, Nicki Minaj or Miley Cyrus? MAC's looking for six new faces, and it's relying on the Internet to find them! In a new initiative called MACnificent Me, potential campaign stars are asked to submit a few things to MAC's website, including your "Mantra" of 140 characters or less. Contestants are then asked to post their mantra all over social media: Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. Getting lots of shares or likes won't help get you into the top six, MAC says, but "it will definitely help you grab our attention — which is never a bad thing when it comes time to make our final decisions."
