A new genus of fern recently discovered by Duke researchers has officially been named in honor of pop star Lady Gaga. Austin Reed Sigg, a 17-year-old from Denver, Colorado, was arrested on Tuesday evening in connection with the shocking abduction and murder of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway. Plus-sized college student Stella Boonshoft recently posted an unedited underwear/bikini picture of herself on her Tumblr account, which was then picked up by photographer Brandon Stanton and published on his site Humans of New York. The photo of Boonshoft (a size 12) soon went viral, prompting an online discussion (both positive and negative) about the 18-year-old's weight. Many individuals now laud Boonshoft (who fully embraces her plus-sized figure) as a body-image hero. Brittany Taltos, the reality star made famous by her romantic fling with "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino while in Italy, was hit by a pickup truck while sunbathing outside on the yard of her Gainesville, FL apartment complex on Sunday.
