Sorry guys, it looks like Paulina Gretzky is off the market. Legendary NHL player Wayne Gretzky's daughter, Paulina, got engaged to her golfer boyfriend Dustin Johnson. Paulina, a 24-year-old model, who has made waves on the Internet with her Instagram photos, got engaged early Sunday morning after dating Johnson since the beginning of the 2013 PGA Tour season. Angelina Jolie's surgeon who performed her double mastectomy says that the actress planned her announcement to the world well in advance. Dr. Kristi Funk tells Los Angeles Magazine in their September issue that 37-year-old Oscar winner "calculated" the moment she would make the announcement that she had surgery to prevent breast cancer. Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun will reportedly come clean about his performance enhancing drug (PED) use, according to USA Today. Bob Nightengale is reporting that Braun will apologize publicly for using steroids at some point in the near future. Braun was recently suspended 65 games for the rest of the 2013 season without pay. However, it was in 2011 he tested positive for steroids, but because of a tester error had his suspension overturned. The Yankees' Alex Rodriguez also made news recently after a 60 Minutes report alleged that A-Rod's "inner circle" leaked documents revealing Braun's name. Read More »
Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton seem to have found themselves in a heated Twitter feud. "Mother Monster" is claiming that Hilton sent a nasty text message to her after she suffered her hip injury that forced her to cancel her Born This Way tour. Gaga took to Twitter, where her loyal fan base of “Little Monsters” follows her every move in protecting her, to announce that Hilton hit her while she was down. Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" song is arguably the biggest song of 2013. However, the single has faced its share of controversy over its music video and now allegations that it copied two other songs. Attorneys for Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams have filed a lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles asking a judge to determine that "Blurred Lines" does not copy songs from Marvin Gaye and George Clinton. The New York Daily News reports that in the lawsuit it claims that the owners of the copyright of Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" and Clinton's "Sexy Ways" have warned Thicke that "Blurred Lines" uses elements from both those songs. Katy Perry went head to head with Australian politician Tony Abbott recently while on 2Day FM. Perry was doing an interview when Abbott called in with his daughters, who are apparently big fans of the "Roar" singer. Abbott wanted to talk about Perry, who wanted to talk about politics and gay marriage. According to the radio host, Abbott is the front runner to become the new prime minister of Australia. WWE SummerSlam 2013 is taking place live Sunday, August 18 from Los Angeles. SummerSlam Axxess is going on this weekend with the big WWE 2K14 roster reveal. Meanwhile, the match card is basically set for SummerSlam with the two big main event matches being John Cena versus Daniel Bryan and CM Punk versus Brock Lesnar in a battle of the best vs. the beast. There is; however, another rumored match that may still be added to the card featuring The Shield versus Big Show and Mark Henry. WWE 2K14 is the first WWE wrestling video game under 2K Sports and the big roster reveal is expected to happen Saturday, August 18. Just one day before WWE's second biggest pay-per-view of the year, SummerSlam, 2K Sports will be revealing their full roster to fans. WWE 2K14 will be released October 29 for Playstation 3 and XBox 360. The live streaming broadcast of the roster reveal will take place from SummerSlam Axxess in Los Angeles with Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and Damien Sandow unveiling the roster for the game's special 30 Years of WrestleMania mode. The Tampa Bay Rays executed a successful hidden ball trick against the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday during a 5-1 Dodgers victory. It's usually only seen in the movies, but Rays third baseman Evan Longoria tagged out the Dodgers' Juan Uribe at third base in the fourth inning this past weekend. Uribe was caught talking with third base coach Tim Wallach when he was tagged out. It’s rare fans ever get to see the hidden ball trick even attempted, let alone pulled off successfully.
