Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab and it looks like she is lining up a number of gigs. The latest rumors are that Lilo could be hosting the season 39 premiere of NBC's Saturday Night Live, according to Radar Online. Lohan has already hosted SNL four times, so if she does host the Sept. 28 premiere, she would join the exclusive "Five Timers" club. It would certainly make for an interesting show, seeing as it would likely be the 27-year-old's first time back on network TV since being released from her court-ordered 90-day rehab. Read More »
The Electric Zoo 2013 music festival taking place at Randalls Island in New York City on Labor Day weekend has been cancelled. The music festival was shut down just hours before the third day of performances on Sunday, September 1st. The decision comes after two people died over the first two days. The decision is said to be a mutual decision between the New York City's Mayor’s Office and festival organizers after the two deaths were rumored to be in relation to drug use. Read More »
Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock has been routinely sharing photos and pictures from the set of the new Hercules movie. The Rock recently tweeted out another photo of himself going through the makeup process for "Hercules: The Thracian Wars." The release date for the potential summer blockbuster is July 25, 2014. The Foo Fighters are coming out with a new album. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like their new music will be ready in time for 2013, but 2014 is the expected release date. Beatles legend Paul McCartney not only has a new album coming out in 2013, but he also said that he may never retire. The 71-year-old recently told Chicago's XRT that he may never stop making music. Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance at this weekend's Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary show in Milwaukee, according to the Inquisitr. Grohl surprised fans when he showed up on stage during Chevy Metal's set. It maybe shouldn't have been too much of surprise considering Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins is the drummer and vocalist for Chevy Metal, who are described as a "70's dirt rock cover band." Grohl also announced recently that Foo Fighters have finished writing for their new album expected out in 2014. Read More »
Johnny Manziel finally got back on the field Saturday after one of the most controversial and eventful off seasons for a college football player in recent memory. Johnny Football finally played football. It did; however, take until the second half of Texas A&M's game against Rice, after Manziel faced a half-game penalty and suspension, for him to actually play. When he did take the field, Manziel led the Aggies to a 52-31 victory. Oh, and Manziel, after returning from his half game suspension was then benched by his coach after he received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. It's not often fans get to watch a NCAA Football game the first Saturday of the season with potential BCS title game implications. The defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide open up their 2013 college football season tonight (Saturday, August 31) against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The game will be on TV on ESPN, starting at 5:30pm ET along with online via live stream. The season opener for the number one ranked Crimson Tide will be taking place at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Notre Dame University kicks off their 2013 college football season today (Saturday, August 31) against the Temple Owls in South Bend. Coming off a historic season that saw Notre Dame make it to the National Championship game against Alabama, the Fighting Irish are ranked 14th in the nation. Notre Dame enjoyed their first unbeaten season last year since 1988, but ended up getting crushed by Nick Saban's Alabama squad 42-14 in the BCS title game. Oh, and there was that whole Manti Te'o fake Internet girlfriend hoax that left the team's season on a bad note. A Pinterest user has started a new viral Internet trend, putting quotes from Adolf Hitler on top of pictures of Taylor Swift. Obviously, most would see a photo of Taylor Swift on Pinterest along with a quote and assume that it’s a quote from Swift. However, Pinterest user Emily Pattinson was apparently using quotes from Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, and Joseph Stalin. The Pinterest photos have become very popular online, but have also stirred up a lot of anger. Since realizing the quotes were actually from Hitler, Bin Laden, and Stalin multiple websites and news outlets have picked up on the story. Read More »
The 2013 College Football season has begun! This means every Saturday the TV schedule will be jam-packed with NCAA football games for football fans to watch. Kicking off Saturday, August 31's games will be number two ranked Ohio State University taking on Buffalo at 12pm at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. James Franco's Comedy Central roast was taped last weekend and the stars came out to poke fun at the former Oscars host and actor. The "Comedy Central Roast of James Franco" will air on Comedy Central Sept. 2 at 10pm ET and fans will get to see stars like Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Bill Hader crack jokes at the expense of Franco. Veteran roasters such as Jeff Ross and Sarah Silverman were also present to take shots at Franco. Everything from Franco's 2011 Oscars hosting performance alongside Anne Hathaway, his poetry, and even his grandmother were fair game at the tapings.
