The new Halle Berry drama Extant premiered last night on CBS to okay numbers. While the sci-fi drama opened to a healthy 9.4 million viewers, the show, which sees Berry's departure from film to TV, saw a big drop in the 18-49 demographic. Extant average a 1.7 rating in the key demo, which definitely was lower than expected, after the network has been talking about it for over a year.
