Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary has been charged with rape, report Fox and ABC. Ahead of the NFL team's AFC Championship game against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, Fox and ABC are reporting that 26 year old McNary — who has been with the team for two years and played all — has been charged with several offenses including rape and criminal confinement after an alleged incident late last year in Indianapolis. Oregon Ducks quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 2015 NFL Draft prospect Marcus Mariota has announced his intention to leave college for the NFL. After losing the College Football National Championship Game 42-20 to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Mariota is expected to go first overall in the draft to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ahead of FSU quarterback Jameis Winston. He thanked his coaches, and Oregon coach Mark Helfrich paid tribute to the Hawaiian native, saying it was an honor to coach him. Read More »
Rex Ryan is the new Buffalo Bills coach, and he's started off with a bang: "Is thing on? It's about to be," said the coach in his introductory press conference. He predicted that he would take the moribund team to the NFL playoffs, but stopped short of guaranteeing a Super Bowl, instead guaranteeing the pursuit of it, as he also said that he will build the team into a bully. The Denver Broncos GM and Vice President of Football Operations said that he'd like to start of his press conference by "thanking John Elway" due to a glitch in the matrix. Chicago Bears teammates Kyle Long and Martellus Bennet have engaged in a Twitter spat after one of them unfollowed the other. Offensive linesman and right guard Long and tight end Bennett proved that the Bears don't even need to be on the field to continue to confuse and dismay fans, with the 5-11 Bears season ending three weeks ago in a hail of terribly thrown Jay Cutler passes with a 13-9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, which led to the eventual firing of coach Marc Trestman.
