But if you ask the show's former executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, he believes it was time for the network to "rest it." TMZ caught up with Lythgoe in New York City just hours after FOX made the announcement that after one more season the show would be over and asked what he thought of the network's decision. 'American Idol' winner Phillip Phillips is engaged to girlfriend Hannah Blackwell, the singer has announced. The "Unpack Your Heart" singer — whose new album Behind Your Light was released earlier this year — proposed to his girlfriend over Christmas and she said "Yes."
