Ryan Reynolds Shares 'Deadpool' Movie Twitter Photo

Ryan Reynolds has been trying to make a Deadpool standalone movie for quite some time now. Over the summer, reactions to "leaked" test footage of Blake Lively's husband performing a motion-capture portrayal of the Marvel Comics antihero definitely helped studio heads at Fox want to move forward with the film. Since then, we've heard updates about a release date in 2016, director Tim Miller signing on to helm the project, and even a PG-13 rating coming into play. The upcoming Deadpool movie - which officially got off the ground and received a winter 2016 release date from Fox after this summer's "leaked" test footage became a viral hit - will have direct links to the X-Men movies from 20th Century Fox. RUMOR: 'Deadpool' Is Rated PG-13?

Last week we learned that the Deadpool movie was confirmed and a release date for 2016 was announced, but a new rumor suggests that Fox finally greenlit the Ryan Reynolds film thanks to a less than savory rating. After years of debate, worry and, most recently, hope, Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics have finally set an official release date for the Deadpool movie that fans weren't sure if they'd ever get to see.
