Will Johnny Manziel Start For Cleveland Browns After 25-24 Sunday Loss To Colts?

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 08, 2014 04:49 PM EST

Cleveland Browns fans are ready for 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel to take over for Brian Hoyer, who has struggled mightily after a hot start, according to "USA Today." Browns head coach Mike Pettine named Hoyer the starter of the rookie Manziel at the start of the season. Manziel was already one of the most famous and popular football players in the country after an illustrious career at Texas A&M earned him the nickname "Johnny Football." Cleveland is now 1-3 in its last four games, and ESPN reports that Hoyer has led the Browns to just one touchdown drive in his last 29 series. With pressure mounting to make a change, Pettine stuck with Hoyer Sunday, Dec. 7, against the Indianapolis Colts. He went just 14 for 31 for 140 yards, throwing two interceptions. The game was only close because Cleveland's defense put up 14 points. Read More »

However, now he returns with a point to prove, claiming he will put his "body on the line" to prove his worth, and to get the win his Colts need. Will the Browns stop the bitter Richardson, or will he fall short once again in Cleveland? Read More »
