The Lonely Island Crew (Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer) stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last night and preformed their hits song "YOLO" off of their recent album The Wack Album. This single was an earlier release in anticipation for The Wack Album and it became an immediate hit. The comical take of "You Only Live Once" turned into a cautionary song was pretty great in general, and then the music video for it made it even better. So it might seem hard to top, right? The Lonely Island trio, who introduced us to their "wack" hits like "I'm on a Boat," "I Just Had Sex," and "D*ck in a Box," have announced that they are back with even wackier tracks on their upcoming album. The self-proclaimed "frappers" (fake rappers) will drop their new album, "The Wack Album," on June 11th. In addition to the newest hit single from the comedic rap trio, "YOLO," which features Kendrick Lamar & Adam Levine, the "fake" rap trio's third album will also include collaborations with Pharrell Williams, T-Pain, Billie Joe Armstrong, Solange, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga as well. Wednesdays have just gotten a whole lot wackier, thanks to the The Lonely Island-ers, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer, who have also announced that they plan to poast a new song or music video on their YouTube channel every "Wack Wednesday" leading up to The Wack Album's June 11th debut. Funny or Die recently released the latest episode of Zach Galifiankis' "Between Two Ferns" Internet talk show and it features a special musical number as well. The Lonely Island snuck their latest music video for their new song "Spring Break" into the clip, making for a hilarious mashup of Internet comedy. Also, the Lonely Island guys recently announced their third album, The Whack Album, will be released on June 11 and each Wednesday on their YoutTube channel they will release new videos.
