The fallout between WWE and its once longest-reining modern era champion CM Punk is a sad one for fans. Between burnouts from the harsh wrestling schedule, and creative differences with WWE's writing staff, Punk walked out the door the night after the Royal Rumble. Since then Punk has called out one particular doctor in the company for not noticing a staph infection and now that doctor has fired back. Court documents reveal that WWE's doctor Chris Amann filed a Libel/Slander lawsuit against CM Punk and independent wrestler Colt Cabana for that revealing CM Punk podcast on Cabana's show. At UFC 189 Conor McGregor defeated Chad Mendes for the interim Featherweight Championship and the #2 contender Frankie Edgar had a front row seat to it. McGregor, the former lightweight champion, was passed over to face McGregor in the fight and now he wants his chance. Wedum, with a record of 20-5-1, tapped Velasquez out with a guillotine choke. With the win Werdum became the new undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion. UFC President Dana White was flat out blunt in his criticism of the hype surrounding Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Before the fight, White claimed it wasn't as grand as everyone made it out to be. According to him, a fight between the two is too little too late for the boxing world.
