The BBC's Doctor Who 50th anniversary special episode, "The Day of the Doctor," was presented in movie theaters over the weekend and ended up brining in $10.2 million in the box office. In fact, the 75-minute special even beat out blockbuster powerhouse The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with higher per-screen averages on Monday. According to some new film industry reports, Judd Apatow is getting ready for his next directorial project and he is teaming up with Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer's leading lady to do so. Comedian Amy Schumer and Apatow will work together on a new comedy entitled Train Wreck. Famed action movie martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme has really been able to poke fun at himself over the last month or so. You may remember his amazing Volvo commercial involving him doing an epic split and then earlier this week the trailer for his new comedy movie, Welcome to the Jungle, showed us his funny side. Quentin Tarantino won the Academy Award for Best Screenwirter for his hit film Django Unchained, so it might not come as a surprise that he recently revelaed that his next project will be in the same vein as this film. While appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Tarantino explained that he is in fact working on a new script and that it falls under the western genre much like Django. It was a matter of debate whether or not Scarlett Johansson would be eligible for a Golden Globe nomination for her supporting role in Spike Jonze's new film Her. The Hollywood Foreign Press made it clear that she would not, after getting some pushback from distributor Warner Bros.
