Honestly, if Rihanna didn't set her skeez-tastic, hand/booty clap anthem "Pour It Up" in a strip club, I think we'd all view it as a grevious oversight. Luckily for us, we'll never have to know what that world is like. Rihanna posted the above pic to Instagram and it seems that the music video for "Pour It Up" os going to get Kesha-level trashy at a strip club. RiRi was so excited for it, she even printed her own money. Read More »

If DC was focused on rap instead of superhumans and vigilantes, this would make an excellent entry into the What If...? series. Back in his grinding, crate-digging, struggling producer days, Kanye West approached Mannie Fresh and Birdman to become an in-house producer for Cash Money. The label that would steadily morph into Lil Wayne-centric juggernaut YMCMB failed to give him a deal, however. Read More »
She & Him, the musical pairing of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, have just released their third album: the appropriately titled Volume 3. The general consensus seems to be that this is their best album to date and the public seems to agree. Volume 3 beat out the much-hyped, Jay-Z helmed Great Gatsby soundtrack to debut at number 1 on iTunes and Amazon charts. Now, the clearly ecstatic She & Him fans, have their first video to latch onto. This one's for the track" I Could've Been Your Girl. Read More »
Robin Thicke has dropped the third track off of his upcoming album Blurred Lines, and after a few listens this track isn't the only thing that will be dropping (*twiddles cigar, raises eyebrows*). Recently, J. Cole moved the release date of his new album Born Sinner up to June 18, putting it in direct competition with the highly anticipated Kanye West album Yeezus. While his original tweets announcing the bump seemed to be reverent (he called Ye "one of the greatest artists of our generation"), a source close to Cole has clarified that J is not afraid to take on Yeezy. So many people were busy freaking out about the way in which "New Slaves" was marketed (projected on 66 buildings, yada yada) and the lyrical content of the first song off Kanye West's new album Yeezus, that it's understandable if you missed that the song is a return to Yeezy's old crate-digging ways. The man who can do more with a rare sample than just about anyone sampled a track by 60s Hungarian rock band Omega for the end of the track (the part that is presumably sung over by Frank Ocean).
