By devon-newport | Jan 03, 2016 05:02 PM EST

Mike Trout is perhaps Major League Baseball's most talented player. He's fast, strong and possesses better hand-eye coordination than just about anybody. It's not a fluke, either. The young Los Angeles Angels center fielder works really hard––as is apparent by his offseason exploits, which, among other things, consists of pushing around a 650 pound tractor tire filled with heavy weights. By devon-newport | Jan 03, 2016 03:14 PM EST

If it ain't broke, don't fix it -- that's typically pretty sound advice, especially when it comes to TV ratings. However, college football decided to try something new and changed the College Football Playoff semifinal games from New Year's Day to New Year's Eve. Which proved to be a poor decision; ratings plummeted. Read More »

Tiger Woods Turns 40, Reflects on Golf and Life; Says He Peaked at 11

By devon-newport | Jan 01, 2016 09:57 AM EST

Tiger Woods turned 40 on Wednesday. It's almost hard to believe. But then again, it isn't really; he's been around forever. His professional career has spanned roughly two decades. During that time he's experienced loads of success, encountered unforeseen turmoil and endured incomprehensible anguish. All of this was by his own doing. He's perhaps the most accomplished golfer of all time, and almost surely the most talented player we've ever seen. And yet, that all pales in comparison to the year Woods had when he was 11-years-old; at least according to Woods. Read More »

Alabama Crimson Tide Strength Coach, Scott Cochran, Gets New Contract for $600,000

By devon-newport | Jan 01, 2016 09:20 AM EST

It pays to be a part of college football (that is unless you're a player, of course). Take University of Alabama strength coach, Scott Cochran, for example. The upbeat 36-year-old will reportedly be paid more than $600,000 in 2016, after turning down an offer from Georgia to stay in Tuscaloosa. Not bad for a guy who puts Icy Hot on his body to motivate the players. Read More »

By devon-newport | Dec 31, 2015 07:20 PM EST

Imagine you're a soccer player that has worked your whole life to become a professional. But not only that, an elite professional who was eventually signed by world giants Barcelona. Now imagine all that was taken away from you for a couple of tweets you sent out a long long time ago (in a galaxy far far away) before you could even put a jersey on. Unfortunately, that was the cruel reality for former AD Alcorcon player, Sergie Guardiola. Read More »

Pau Gasol Says the Unthinkable!

By devon-newport | Dec 31, 2015 04:40 PM EST

Pau Gasol did said something so ridiculous, so offensive, so unthinkable, that anybody reading this under the age of 18 should look away now. Also, if you're from Chicago, take out the reading earmuffs or exit the article IMMEDIATELY! Still here? You sure? OK, let's continue (you've been warned). Gasol recently took part in an interview with GQ Magazine's Alex Wong. He talked about his life, career, Kobe's retirement, and food--there was a lot of food talk, it was fun and harmless. But then Gasol was asked about deep dish pizza and things took a not so PG-13 turn. Here's the exchange: Read More »

Freddy Adu's soccer career has come a long way since D.C. United made him the youngest player to ever play in the MLS. Unfortunately, it hasn't been in the direction he would have hoped.
