Cardale Jones recently took to Twitter to let his intentions for the future be known. On Wednesday, the 23-year-old redshirt Junior for Ohio State told reporters that he would not be transferring upon the conclusion of the season. Instead, he'll be entering the 2016 NFL Draft. Read More »
Tiger Woods turned 40 on Wednesday. It's almost hard to believe. But then again, it isn't really; he's been around forever. His professional career has spanned roughly two decades. During that time he's experienced loads of success, encountered unforeseen turmoil and endured incomprehensible anguish. All of this was by his own doing. He's perhaps the most accomplished golfer of all time, and almost surely the most talented player we've ever seen. John Wall is irked about how the voting for the NBA All-Star game is conducted. The league released the early voting results for this years game over last weekend. The point guard for the Washington Wizards was in fifth place, trailing Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler for the Eastern Conference backcourt. The upbeat 36-year-old will reportedly be paid more than $600,000 in 2016, after turning down an offer from Georgia to stay in Tuscaloosa. On Tuesday, Clemson University sent home three of it's football palyers for violating team rules (according to reports, they were sent home for failing drug tests). The decision comes just two days before the number 1 ranked Tigers' take on Oklahoma in College Football's Playoff semifinal. Deon Cain, a key wide receiver, is among the three along with Kicker Ammon Lakip and tight end Jay Jay McCullough. NCAA schools are taking a more relaxed approach when it comes to enforcing penalties for students' use of marijuana. According to an investigation by the Associated Press, at least one-third of the Power Five conference schools (Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12, ACC, SEC) are not punishing athletes as toughly as they used to for positive marijuana tests, and other so-called recreational drugs.
