Nobody tells Miley Cyrus what to do, and that includes one of the people she draws influence from, Sinead O'Connor. Today (Oct. 2) on her blog, O'Connor posted an open letter to Cyrus about her recent exploits, which include twerking on screen and making controversial, naked music videos. In the open letter, O'Connor wrote that she was inspired to warn Cyrus after she had received numerous phone calls because Cyrus said O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" music video inspired her. In case you aren't a scholar of late night, Jimmy Kimmel and Kanye West are currently feuding. After the Live host aired a (completely harmless) skit where a child recreated highlights of his BBC 1 Radio interview earlier this week, Kanye called Kimmel and launched into a massive Twitter rant against him. Long before the VMA performance seen around the world, Miley Cyrus gained a bit of controversy for the music video for her first "Bangerz" single "We Can't Stop." The music video, full of the former Disney star writhing around on a bed, twerking and partying with her friends was quite scandalous but at least I was heralded as an original idea.
