"MStars News" has learned that Houston Rockets star Dwight Howard was under investigation for child abuse but has since then been cleared. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources revealed that Howard's baby mama, "Basketball Wives" star Royce Reed, appeared in Children's Services in the Orlando, Florida, area earlier this year and accused Howard of whooping their 6-year-old son Braylon with a belt, leaving bruises and abrasions to the child's body. The case worker told Reed to take her son to a medical facility to get him looked at and document his injuries. When Howard was questioned by authorities, the basketball star admitted he whipped his son with a belt, but was unaware he did anything wrong. Howard claims belts are a form of discipline that he received when he was younger. Howard's lawyer filed legal papers denying that the basketball player harmed his son with marks, bruises, welts or injuries that resulted in his son receiving medical treatment. Sources revealed that Reed's ex was cleared after Children's Services closed the case. The case workers concluded that Braylon's injuries weren't caused by a belt. But this drama wasn't over, because Howard decided to file legal papers last week requesting for full custody of his son, claiming his ex, "Basketball Wives" star Royce Reed, is an unfit mother. Sometimes things seem to be going a little too well, and that has most certainly been the case for the Houston Rockets. But star man Dwight Howard is now involved in an NBA child abuse battle, one that's alarmingly similar to Adrian Peterson's case. The Rockets are seen as a top contender to win the NBA championship, but with all this controversy surrounding their team, can they really keep their good spirits and good form going? Rockets fans can relax, with the law declaring Howard as "not guilty" of breaking any rules, according to TMZ. Floyd Mayweather only has a couple of fights left until he decides to retire, and it seems his passion has crossed over to his pal Kobe Bryant. Mayweather, as he often does, was in attendance for the big game, as the San Antonio Spurs visited the LA Lakers, but he failed to bring them any luck. However, Kobe has insisted he's jealous of the NBA title holders, and that he'll never give up on adding more accomplishments to his long list of achievements. Kobe Bryant is fighting to save his NBA career, and now he has to prove to himself, the Los Angles Lakers and everyone else, that he's still the same Kobe he was a year or so ago. Nobody quite knew whether LeBron James would stay with the Miami Heat, or return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the NBA star has revealed all, at long last. It appears another NBA titles win over the San Antonio Spurs would of convinced him to stay in South Beach.
