"American Idol" season 11 champion Phillip Phillips seems to be having some more medical issues. Thanks to an announcement from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Twitter post by Phillips himself, we now know that his college tour has been postponed "due to doctor's orders." In the past, Phillips suffered from kidney stones and almost had to leave the singing competition last year. He is currently the reigning champion of the popular series. Mayer is back on tour! The announcement of John Mayer's 2013 tour dates comes only days after his split with ex-girlfriend Katy Perry. The "Gravity" singer, who was forced to take 10 months off to treat a throat condition, is finally better and ready to refocus on singing and promoting his 2012 album, "Born and Raised," reveals E! News. The 2013 tour, kicking off July 6th at Milwaukee's SummerFest, will be his first major concert tour in three years following his unfortunate vocal hiatus, Billboard reports. Nearly all of Mayer's concerts will be opened by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips who has strummed his way to the top of the charts this year with his single "Home." Mayer will visit over 40 cities in four countries during the July-October tour, including dates at Colorado's famed Red Rocks (July 16) and the Hollywood Bowl (Oct. 5), as well as festival stops at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sept. 17), and Rock in Rio in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (Sept. 21). Rumors are surfacing that the "Wide Awake" singer Katy Perry signed a book deal reportedly worth $3 Million. British tabloids reported Thursday that the pop star signed the autobiography deal, while the singer's rep tells E! News that this is not true. Is Perry following in ex husband Russell Brand's footsteps and writing a memoir of her own to dish the details of their 14 month marriage? The conflicting reports on this matter seem to be "Hot & Cold." Last month, British comedian Russell Brand said that he was writing another memoir following his two "Booky Work" autobiographies.
